Your partnership with Unity Institute follows a clear 5-year vesting model.
This ensures long-term alignment, shared responsibility, and a predictable growth path.

Here’s what you can expect:

Year 1: 30% Instructor ownership / 70% Unity
Year 2: 40% Instructor / 60% Unity
Year 3: 50% Instructor / 50% Unity
Year 4: 65% Instructor / 35% Unity
Year 5: 90% Instructor / 10% Unity (Unity remains a long-term support partner)

Unity’s 10% long-term partnership helps support:

  • Hosting and platform infrastructure
  • Technical support
  • Course updates and maintenance
  • Student onboarding systems
  • Marketing assistance (as applicable)
  • Administrative and compliance support

This means you’re never building alone, and your course remains a living, evolving asset.

Instructor Expectations & Commitment

As a Unity Instructor, you are expected to uphold:

  • Personal responsibility and ethical communication
  • Clear, practical, real-world instruction
  • No ideological, political, or academic bias
  • Respect for Unity’s brand values and student community
  • Consistency in student engagement (especially via your community)
  • Ongoing participation in course improvements as needed

Your formal Unity Instructor Agreement includes:

  • Revenue share structure
  • Ownership path
  • Privacy + confidentiality clauses
  • Trademark usage guidelines
  • Instructor responsibilities
  • Termination and continuity policies

Trademark, Legal & Privacy Disclaimers

Unity Institute Trademark & Content Standards

By creating a course with Unity Institute, you agree to:

  • Use Unity Institute branding, frameworks, and graphics only as provided.
  • Avoid creating derivative programs outside Unity using Unity’s systems, assets, or IP.
  • Avoid positioning your course as medical, psychological, therapeutic, or legal advice.
  • Avoid making health, financial, or performance guarantees.

All Unity brand assets, including course templates, frameworks, terminology, design systems, and marketing language, are trademarked or protected as proprietary intellectual property.

Instructors retain ownership of their personal expertise and unique teaching content, but the course structure, formatting, and systemization built within Unity remain part of the Unity IP ecosystem.

Privacy & Data Responsibility

Instructors must adhere to the following data and privacy standards:

  • Student information gathered through Unity platforms must remain confidential.
  • You may not export, download, or store student data in external systems except for direct program support.
  • You may not use Unity student information for external marketing, cross-promotion, or outside business purposes.
  • All student communication must take place inside Kajabi, Zoom, or other Unity-approved channels.

Unity Institute handles:

  • Student privacy compliance
  • Payment processing
  • Course access permissions
  • Content protection and security

Unity is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and secure learning environment for both instructors and students.

Liability Disclaimer

Unity Institute provides educational, experiential, and professional development programs.
Courses built within Unity:

  • Are not medical or therapeutic treatment
  • Are not legal, financial, or psychological advice
  • Should be applied by students at their own discretion
  • Require instructors to teach within the scope of their actual lived experience

Unity Institute is not liable for:

  • Student outcomes
